Durruti's Movie Is Happening! SWZA #5 Is Almost Here, + The Shepherd

Hey folks,
Durruti #2 Fulfillment is in its final stretch! I hope to have everything sent out soon. Had a bit of difficulty when the printer I was using to create the mailing labels just broke out of nowhere for no reason and it took a bit over a week to replace.
A HUGE shipment of international packages went out just before, so if you pledged to Durruti from overseas, expect to get a tracking number (so keep an eye on your email and messages. You should be seeing it hit your mailbox in about two weeks.
Durruti Movie:
So many of you may remember that in the back of Durruti #1 you saw this advertisement:
If you're not "In the know" you might think that this comic is the first form my tales of Durruti's life took. That's actually not the case. Shadow of the People actually began as a screenplay waaay back in 2015.
Enon Films optioned said screenplay, and they were so impressed they actually commissioned a prequel script based around Durruti's early adventure's abroad. Enter Wanderer's Feast, which is based on a real incident from Durruti's life (that happened just after the events of Los Errantes) and recently became one of my single highest scoring script on Blcklst.com!
I can't tell you much more at the moment but suffice to say, there are material steps currently being taken to take this "arthouse thriller" to the big screen!
Thank you so much for your support. Without you guys I highly doubt we would be this close to painting Durruti's name across the sky and paying homage to his memory and ideals.
I'm not going to be launching until 100% of the Durruti & Snow White Zombie books are in the mail, but SWZA #5 (Or #6 if you're following the Scout release) is almost ready to go:
This issue is gonna be EPIC, Adam Bryce Thomas of IDW's Sonic the Hedgehog and Samurai Jack is beginning his run on the series, and he's basing it on Berserk:
For the fairytale this time, I'm pulling from The Saga of Hrolfr Kraki and His Twelve Berserkr Bodyguards and our antagonist is a literal Drauger:
And for those of you who are into D&D...yeah I couldn't resist turning this into an honest-to-god Dungeoncrawl:
Please click this link, then click "Notify me" even if you don't plan to get the book, the more pre-followers we have on the campaign, the better kickstarter's algorithm will treat us!
So what are you waiting for? Please click here to pre-follow SWZA #5:
He has been a HUGE champion of my work, and has directly contributed to the comic's success by being a trusted second set of eyes on everything I write, ensuring that whatever I'm creating has its maximum impact.
And the thing is, he's currently running a kickstarter for a series all his own:
The book is about the titular character: "The Shepherd" A recently deceased professor tasked with rescuing souls from hell...which in this imagining functions less like a prison, and more like a hospital. It's a shifting spiritual landscape where the souls of the restless dead join forces to battle against their own inner demons:
From The Shepherd Vol. 2: The Path of Souls
Isn't that an incredible premise? Andrea has created one of my favorite kind of storytelling: worlds where, like Dr. Who, the writer can go anywhere and do anything from moving beyond the siren song of Wrath and Vengeance (Vol. 1), to collective redemption (Vol. 2) to the more intimate & traditional ghost stories revolving around those The Shepherd has left behind (Vol. 3):
Some of the stories are quite heavy (It's a horror book), but if you're intrigued or just want to help out, please pop over and pledge and/or share the campaign. A ton has gone into this and you'll be returning to Andrea all the mutual aid he's given Durruti over the years.
Durruti Kickstarter #2 Still in Fulfillment Sneak Peek at Durruti #3!

Hey folks! very quick update here because I need to get back to the Durruti & SWZA fulfillment. Durruti comics continue to go out, starting with the simplest orders first, followed by the more complicated ones. If you ordered lots of add-ons or are overseas, you likely won't see Durruti #2 for at least a few weeks.
If you have a really basic order and still haven't seen it, reach out to me. We had some packaged bounce back, and land in the AC PO box. I will be contacting the people who this happened to directly.
I'm really trying to juggle all of this: Kickstarters, Writing, Cons, Printing, Fulfillment, etc. and I'm very short-handed. So please do continue to wait and reach out. The end of the tunnnel is in sight, but I still have to stick the landing.
In the meantime, Durruti #3's art just came back and it's GORGEOUS:
I don't want to give away too much from this issue. Suffice to say, it's action-packed and Juan Mota Magaña has done such an incredible job of brining Barcelona to the pages of Durruti:
Aaand now I have to get back to fulfillment. If everything goes smoothly then next time you hear from me, everyone will have their books and be ready to experience the next chapter of Durruti's epic life!
Durruti #2 Continues to Ship + Class War Animals, Calvin & Hobbes, & NPCs D20 Tee
over 2 years ago
– Wed, Dec 27, 2023 at 09:38:55 PM
And the first major mailing of them along with a large number of Durruti books have already gone out:
If you ordfered the harcover in addition to Durruti #2 you're gonna be really happy: These books are HEAVY and thick. GREAT quality. I can't wait for you to get them:
Now I *have* the hardcover and fulfillment is almost done, but that means I can't run the kickstarters I had planned until a month or two later than intended, which just gums the whole process up.
So, if you want to help out, and would like to get some cool stuff at the same time, here's some suggestions:
Thanks folks! Holiday has been stressful but it's so exciting making comics for you! If you don't already have Durruti #2 you'll get it soon & Durruti #3 is right around the corner!

Durruti #2 is IN MAILBOXES + Calvin & Hobbes Makhno Tee + FREE Cruxshadows Christmas Album

Comrades,
Thank you for your patience. Sorry for the lack of update. I wanted to make sure I had everything Holidays are hectic enough on their own and this one has been a DOOZY (more on that below).
First thing's first:
DURRUTI #2 is hitting Mailboxes!
There'sstill alot of fulfillmentleft to do, but I am moving heaven and earth to get these books to you. As you can see, I've added a ton of extra swag to make up for the wait, and you know that I make the BEST swag on Kickstarter.
I very rarely print shirts, this is because they are insanely expensive to print in small quantities in the USA, and I don't like the idea of going overseas because...well, I wouldn't be a very good comrade if I did.
However, I just REALLY love this as a shirt and honestly I've wanted a Calvin and Hobbes shirt my entire life, and this is the closest I could get.
As most of you know, I am collaborating on a fantasy novel with Rogue, frontman for the international chart-topping Goth/Darkwave Band The Cruxshadows!
Anyway, I gotta jump back into fulfillment. I will be updating again very soon!
Solidarity,
-Brent
Durruti #2 is IN THE MAIL + FREE Sticker + New Series: NPCs: Myth, Magic, & Retail!

Hey comrades,
Thanks for being so patient. I am happy to report that your books have arrived. It's the largest shipment I've ever had and speaks to just what we've been able to accomplish together:
When this van's a-rockin'...it's because I filled it with comics.
The book is positively GORGEOUS, both outside:
Left to Right & Top to Bottom: Original by JF Mota, "Noir" by Andrew World, "Portrait" by Pol Serra, "Crossover" by Alonso Molina Gonzales, "Chains" By MoMo, & "History repeats" by Alonso Molina Gonzales
And inside:
Fulfillment has begun and several issues are already in the mail. I'm starting with people who put in late pledges to Durruti #1, those who gave to the Spanish Kickstarter in US and Canada, and people with the simplest orders. Those of you with lots of premiums or who live overseas will likely have to wait a few more weeks.
Still, the books will get to you, most of you, on or before the November deadline.
I ALSO have something really cool to share with you, I give you: "Class War Monkey" the first in a series of playfully edgy stickers depicting scrappy animals striking back against their human oppressors!
You will notice that this cute little guy is a longtailed macaque, a species of monkey that are known for developing particular cultural practices INCLUDING stealing valuable stuff from tourists and refusing to return them unless given food:
I'm going to be making these into a series of stickers and prints, as well as t-shirts--if there's enough interest (Sound off in the comments if you want one).
So, how do you get one of the first print run of these stickers? WELL you could either wait until the Durruti #3 campaign OR pre-follow and pledge to my newest series (Drumroll Please):
This is a project I've been working on for a long time, and is a collaboration between myself and my longtime comrade Zac Xeper frontman for The Dog Park Dissidents, who, if you're unfamiliar, Absolutely Slap:
Zac & I have been friends for years (We met at Occupy Wallstreet) which is why it's SO exciting to finally make this collaboration public! If you're a fan of the fantasy genre in any respect: Books, Movies, Videogames, you name it! You're gonna LOVE NPCS!
Also as it's me making this book, there are perhaps, some themes that those of us who are critical of social hierarchy and late capitalist consumerism might enjoy:
The art is being done by Kit Buss of Critical Role, and Juan Francisco Mota, artist for Durruti: Shadow of the People #2.
They have both done some incredible work on this book, and I am so excited to bring it to you, but I can't without your help!
So how do you help out a comrade with critical mutual aid AND get this guy absolutely free of charge, before anyone else does? Simple, just click here or belowand then click "Notify Me". Then, pledge at "The Book level" or higher, during the first 24 hours, you'll also get this awesome, radical sticker 100% free with all your other premiums.
Even if you don't plan to get the series, you can still help by clicking "Notify Me" as Kickstarter's algorithm treats us much better, the prome pre-followers I have.
